Our drive behind our new family Olive Oil business started with our passion to eat well but also to eat healthy. Olive oil is high in unsaturated fat and has been known to reduce the risk of heart disease and cholesterol. It also works as a great natural supplement for healthy hair and skin and before all of today’s new artificial enhancers and supplements, the ancient Greeks used it to maintain their hair silky and strong. We wanted to produce something universal, something that could be added to any dish, almost like a secret ingredient that awakens any recipe! However, what also inspired us is our passion to stand out among the rest: we aimed to create an olive oil that would add spark and aroma to dishes that need an extra kick of flavor or dishes that are sometimes so healthy that they lack in taste. Our family adds our Olive Oil to almost anything: from egg whites for breakfast to pasta for lunch, the list goes on! We never go without it! Grown among the rolling hills of olive trees and grapevines on our family estate, located in beautiful Paso Robles, our S&G 100% Mission Olive Oil expresses a purity that can only be achieved through a gentle, small-lot handmade process. This careful process exposes the natural richness of our Mission olives and enhances their unique aroma. Our S&G Estate Mission EVOO has earned the official “Certified Extra Virgin” seal of the California Olive Oil Council by meeting stringent standards for production, analysis and taste. For its very first bottling in 2010, it earned a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition! Compared to others, our 4.5-acre olive orchard may appear small but we have always been strong believers that quality always tops quantity. Our 650 Mission Olive Trees are handpicked during harvest and our olives are produced within one hour after in our own estate mill. In addition, S&G Estate Olive Oil is unfiltered. This allows us to preserve the natural richness of our olives and provide our customers with 100% natural Olive Oil.
